Dr. Ulrich comes to the center with a unique background. Though he grew up in Tyler, Texas, he was actually born in Okinawa, Japan, where his father served in the US Army. He later received his bachelor’s degree in biology from Austin College and went on to attend medical school at University of North Texas Health Science Center - Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth.

After earning his medical degree with honors, Dr. Ulrich completed his residency in adult general neurology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, also serving as the hospital’s chief resident.

In addition to working as a clinician and attending physician in the General Neurology and Multiple Sclerosis Clinics, Dr. Ulrich taught students at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas as assistant professor of neurology.

In 2004, he was board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry. In 2006, Dr. Ulrich served as medical director for South East Neurology in Sumter, South Carolina.

Dr. Ulrich is extremely passionate about treating patients with neurological disorders, providing individualized treatment plans in a compassionate environment. As a general neurologist, Dr. Ulrich specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of headaches, stroke, dementia, multiple sclerosis, and neurodegenerative disorder.

Outside of work, Dr. Ulrich loves spending time with his daughter and enjoys playing piano and biking.
